Sew N Tell Friday

Look what I found at my fave thrift. Seriously. The only downside is that it needs to be finished. The hand quilting part. And bound. I really enjoy sewing on binding and I found a good match already. Now to replicate the quilting pattern on the borders.
My first Sew N' Tell Friday picture. See the new button over there (on the right)? This table topper is almost done. I am halfway though the machine quilting. I put the jumbo ric rac up there so you can see where it will be going. I am making a huge dent in my fall/Halloween stash. I dont anticipate it growing too much this year. I havent seen anything I like.

The vintage linens quilt is done. Really done. As in bound and everything. I used a maybe not so vintage sheet for the backing. The binding is from my stash. I though it looked like vintage sheets. I must have thrifted it because when I ironed it it had that old smell.

I quilted it using a simple diagonal. This quilt looks much cuter in person. Every picture I took made it washed out. I attached a few crocheted pieces. Can you see it there?
I need to stop buying vintage sheets. I think I have enough for forever.

Yay! Thanks for playing!

I love that little wallhanging! It is so cute. And who doesn't love a little ric rac??

Awesome vintage sheet quilt. I know what you mean about stuff getting washed out - it always seems to be those lighter things that don't photograph well. I'm sure it's great!!!
